The tradition of Easter eggs is a unique and wonderful part of the Easter celebration, especially the chance to paint each egg with bright and festive colors. This idea not only allows you to be creative with the colors, but at the end you get to eat them all!

Ingredients

  • 3 rice bars with marshmallow (2.5" x 1.5" x 0.75")
  • 1 box Fruit by the Foot™ Variety Pack
  • 1 box Fruit by the Foot™ Flavor Mixers
  • Optional: Egg-shaped cookie cutter

Directions

  •
    1
Cut the rice bars into egg shapes. You can use the cookie cutter or a knife.
  •
    2
Unroll the Fruit by the Foot™ "Color by the Foot" (use the yellow and red), "Cherry Orange" (red and yellow) and "Raspberry Grape" (blue and purple) flavors.
  •
    3
Use the full width of each strip, or place them side-by-side to make them thicker. You can also cut them lengthwise if you want to use thinner strips.
  •
    4
Use the strips to wrap each "egg" in multicolored patterns.
  •
    5
Some strips have drawings and illustrations. Take advantage of these to shapes to decorate your eggs.
  •
    6
Repeat these steps to make as many eggs as you want.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
When you use the yellow strips, it's best to use one on top of the other to make sure the color isn't too translucent.
