Our Easter celebration consists of many sweets. One of those is chocolate Easter eggs stuffed with a very simple cream made with cream cheese and membrillo paste. The combination is rich and creamy and perfectly paired with good quality, ready-made chocolate eggs that could be found at your local grocery or candy store. Ingredients

  • 6 3-inch hollow, good-quality chocolate eggs
  • 2/3 cup quince jam, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, at room temperature
  • Easter sprinkles, to garnish

Directions

    Carefully slice chocolate eggs in half, lengthwise. Set aside.

    In a food processor, place quince jam and cream cheese and pulse until ingredients incorporate.

    Place cream cheese/quince filling in a piping bag or small airtight bag (snip one of the corners of the bag).

    Pipe filling in chocolate eggshells and top with sprinkles. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

    Instead of sprinkles, decorate with nuts or sweetened coconut flakes for a more adult version.
