Watermelon is nearly synonymous with summertime. There’s no better way to celebrate those warm days than with a refreshing margarita with a hint of spice. This recipe is perfect for barbeques with friends and family because it yields several glasses. Prepare them this summer and you’ll see that no one will be able to resist the classic combination of watermelon with lime and chile!

Ingredients

  • 2 limes, cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder seasoning with lemon and salt
  • Ice, to taste
  • 3 cups watermelon, cut into large chunks
  • 1 - 1 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 2 cups white tequila
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice

Directions

    Moisten the rims of 6 to 8 cups with the juice from half a lime, and then dip the rims into a small bowl with chili powder with lemon and salt. Fill the cups with ice.

    Blend the watermelon with the simple syrup and a bit of water. Strain the mixture in a 2-liter jar (8 cups). Add the tequila and then the fresh lime juice. Stir lightly with a spoon to mix the ingredients. Pour into the cup and enjoy. Cheers!

    If you don’t have simple syrup, use 3/4 cups of granulated sugar and 3/4 cup of water.
