Once a year I travel with my family to Mooresville, North Carolina, to visit my brother. My daughters are always very excited, not only because they get to see their cousins again, but also because they know they’re going to devour the delicious crescent s’mores that their uncle Carlos lovingly prepares. Of course, I learned my brothers secret so I could share it with you: I prepared them with Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls that are fluffy, easy and fun to bake. The recipe is prepared with mini marshmallow and mini semisweet chocolate chips. You can prepare them as snacks for the little ones but you can be sure that even the older crowd will fall in love with this treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup of mini chocolate chips
  • 1 egg white (optional)

Directions

  •
    1
    Set the oven to 375°F.
  •
    2
Unroll the dough and separate the 8 triangles.
  •
    3
Starting at the widest part of the triangle, add approximately 8 mini marshmallows and 1 tablespoon of mini chocolates. Roll the dough towards the thinnest side and seal the edges by applying pressure with your fingertips so that the filling doesn’t come out. Give the ends a cone shape.
  •

Place the crescents in a baking tray leaving 2 inches in between each other. Use a cooking brush to moisten the crescents with the egg white to give them a golden brown color.
  •
    5
Place the tray in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove and carefully take the crescents out of the tray with a spatula. Serve.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
If you don't have marshmallows you can use marshmallow cream, just apply it before you add the chocolate pieces.
  • tip 2
Make sure you're very careful when you remove the crescents from the tray and wait a few minutes before serving because the marshmallow and chocolate get very hot.
