A popular sauce and side dish in South America, salsa criolla is a versatile accompaniment to any meat, sandwich and potato meal. This salsa is a must at the dinner table! Red onion –Peru’s onion of choice— is complemented with tangy lime juice and vinegar. I love salsa criolla on baked potatoes and seasoned skirt steak. Simple to prepare and comprised of few ingredients, this citrusy salsa is perfect for large family reunions, summer picnics and an impressive potluck dish for your next office get-together.
