A true bicultural cocktail takes a little bit of what makes the two parts special and mixes everything into one creation of tantalizing beauty. Such is this very special cocktail–refreshing and exotic, with its blend of rum and mint, yet it remains traditionally classy served in a Martini glass. Ingredients

  • 3 oz of light rum
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • A splash of ginger ale
  • 3/4 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • Ice

Directions

    Add the mint leaves, lime juice and sugar to a cocktail shaker. Using a spoon, muddle the mint until well incorporated. Add the light rum, ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with lime and mint leaves.
