Ingredients

  • 12 slices of bread
  • 2 large ripe bananas, sliced
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Directions

    Coat an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spay. Add one layer of bread.

    Add a layer of bananas and chocolate chips. Repeat twice more, ending with a final layer of bread.

    Whip the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, butter, cinnamon and vanilla in a large bowl.

    Pour slowly onto the layer of bread and make sure it's evenly covered. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

    Preheat the oven to 350° F.

    Remove the baking dish from the fridge and let warm to room temperature, about half an hour.

    Bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes or until the surface has browned.

    Let sit for 5-7 minutes before serving.
