Halloween is right around the corner and there's always an opportunity for fun crafts and delicious recipes. Here at Que Rica Vida you'll find many ideas, from how to create nutritious snacks to step-by-step pumpkin carving. Just type the word "Halloween" into the search bar and hit enter. This year we're going to make monster tacos, pumpkin quesadillas and fruit ghosts. Today I present you with a recipe we really enjoyed. It's a tasty quicksand dip with a creepy hand reaching out. It’s very simple, but prepare a lot because it will disappear. My kids ate it all in the blink of an eye. Happy Halloween!

Ingredients

  • 15 Totino’s™ Pizza Rolls™ frozen combination pizza snacks (sausage and pepperoni)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1/3 cup of cheese quesadilla, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups white cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

  •
    1
    Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  •
    2
Place the pizza rolls in a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
  •
    3
In the meantime, heat the olive oil to sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Stir constantly; this should only take about two minutes. Remove from the heat and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
  •
    4
Remove the pizza rolls from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes. In the meantime, mix the onion and garlic with the cheeses. Use a sharp knife to cut the 10 pizza rolls into small pieces.
  •
    5
Take your dip dish and put the pizza rolls at the bottom. Add the cheese mixture with the garlic and onions and return to the oven for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
  •

Take the rest of the pizza rolls and cut the edges off to create fingers on a hand. Take a piece of sausage from the roll and use it to prepare the nail and place the fingers in the dip so it looks like there’s a hand coming out.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
You can bake the whole bag of pizza rolls and use it to eat your dip.
  • tip 2
You can use Oaxaca cheese instead of cheddar if you don't want such a strong taste.
