Have you ever heard of a pumpkin milkshake? Did you ever think the existed? Well, when I was a child, I grew up savoring this rich and lovely beverage at home. We prepared it with “Calabaza en Tacha” and fresh milk. With Halloween and Thanksgiving around the corner, I thought these would make a great treat at parties with my family and friends. This recipe is inspired from one of my family´s very own recipes. It is easy to make and absolutely delicious and addictive.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
A blender is needed for this recipe. The milkshake tastes best served chilled. If you would like a frothy consistency to your shake, add 1/2 scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • tip 2
If you would like to make a version for after the kids go to sleep, add 1 jigger of rum per serving above to transform it into a creative Halloween cocktail or Thanksgiving for the grownups. Just remember, do not drink and drive.
  • tip 3
Serve your milkshakes on a tray decorate with pumpkin slices any other Halloween or Thanksgiving inspired item.
