Oatmeal is a breakfast staple for many people, but there are a few others who don’t like the texture or consider it boring. There are also those who don’t get hungry in the morning, and prefer to have just a juice or shake for breakfast. This smoothie is the answer to all those cases, and it’s also a great alternative to have up your sleeve if you’re an oatmeal regular who wants to bring some novelty to the most important meal of the day. This drink will fill you up for many hours, and keep you energized throughout the morning. Add as many healthy supplements as you wish to increase its power, such as flax seeds, chia, cacao powder, hemp powder, or maca… and get ready to seize the day!

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  •
    1
Mix everything in the blender until smooth.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
Use almond butter instead of peanut butter, or make the shake nut-free by replacing with tahini.
  • tip 2
For a sweeter taste, add 1 teaspoon raw honey, or 1-2 dates.
  • tip 3
Coconut water is better when not pasteurized. Try to get a fresh coconut and pour it directly from the fruit to your shake. Add the meat inside the coconut for extra richness and flavor.
