Ingredients

  • 3 dozen precooked mussels
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

    Heat the oil and butter in a wok or large saucepan over medium heat.

    Sauté the onion and garlic without letting them burn.

    Add the wine and turn the heat to high, let boil for 2 minutes. Add the mussels and lower the heat to medium, cover the saucepan and let cook for 5 more minutes.

    If you prefer thick and creamy sauce add 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1/4 cup of heavy cream.

    You can also add scallops and shrimp.
