Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 box puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Directions

  •
    1
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spray two big baking trays with cooking spray.
  •
    2
Mix the granulated sugar with ground cinnamon.
  •
    3
Separate the two sheets of puff pastry. Stretch out a sheet of puff pastry on a surface lightly coated with flour until you get a 15 x 10” rectangle. Spread 1/4 cup melted butter over the sheet. Sprinkle half the sugar and cinnamon over the puff pastry sheet.
  •
    4
Starting with the widest side, roll the pastry towards the center.
  •
    5
Roll the other side in the same way until both rolls meet in the center. Repeat with the other sheet and the remaining butter and sugar mix.
  •
    6
Cut the rolls in 1/2" slices. Place the orejas on the baking tray, leaving a 1 1/2 to 2” gap between each.
  •
    7
Bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until they’re golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve with a cup of coffee. Enjoy!
