Ingredients

Cupcakes

  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/4 teaspoon Betty Crocker™ orange gel food color
  • 24 unfrosted cupcakes (purchased or baked from a mix)

Spider Web Topping

  • Betty Crocker™ black decorating gel (from 0.68-oz tube)
  • 8 clean plastic spider finger rings

Eyeball Topping

  • 3 tablespoons from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • 8 miniature candy-coated chocolate baking bits
  • 8 miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • Betty Crocker™ red decorating gel (from 0.68-oz tube)

Grave Topping

  • Betty Crocker™ black decorating gel (from 0.68-oz tube)
  • 8 peanut-shaped peanut butter-filled sandwich cookies
  • 1/4 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 8 candy pumpkins

    In small bowl, place 3 tablespoons of the frosting to use for eyeball topping; set aside. Stir orange icing color into remaining frosting in container until well blended and no streaks remain. Frost cupcakes.

    To make spider web cupcakes, draw circles of black decorating gel on top of each frosted cupcake. Drag toothpick through gel from center outward to make web. Press 1 spider ring onto each "web."

    To make eyeball cupcakes, drop about 1/2 teaspoon reserved vanilla frosting onto each frosted cupcake. Lightly press 1 baking bit in center of each. Attach 1 miniature chocolate chip to center of each baking bit with tiny dot of frosting. Use red decorating gel to draw red squiggly lines radiating around edge of white frosting to resemble veins.

    To make grave cupcakes, use black decorating gel to write an "epitaph" on one end of each cookie. Press cookies into cupcakes to form gravestones. Sprinkle cookie crumbs around each "gravestone." Place candy pumpkin to one side of each.
