These granola and oatmeal bars are perfect for a quick breakfast or when you want a snack in the middle of the morning. I’m always looking for new snacks to try, and these oatmeal bars are crispy and super delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup granola with fruit
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar

Directions

  •
    1
Mix the oats and granola in a medium-sized bowl.
  •
    2
Melt the butter with the sugar and agave nectar, and let it cook until you start seeing bubbles and it takes a light brown color.
  •
    3
Pour over the oats and granola bars, and mix with a spatula.
  •
    4
Pour the mix into a rectangular pan, previously greased with coconut or vegetable cooking spray.
  •
    5
Make it as thick as you want, place a sheet of wax paper over it or use another pan. Be careful not to burn yourself with the hot mixture. I recommend using oven mitts.
  •
    6
Cool down at room temperature for 2 hours. Cut the oatmeal bars into any size you want with a sharp knife.
