Brownies are my go-to school holiday treat, a welcome dessert at any party. But the ones I'm sharing with you today aren't just any common brownies; these are colorful and festive creations full of holiday glee that will bring a smile to just about anyone. I used Betty Crocker® Original Supreme Premium brownie mix to prepare these treats because they turn out so moist and chocolaty. Not only are they melt-in-your-mouth delicious but also easy to prepare and fun to decorate. Wrap them up in holiday-themed decorative wrapping and tie them with a festive bow for an unexpected homemade gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • (Water, vegetable oil and eggs, as per the package ingredient list)
  • 1/3 cup green candy melts
  • 1/3 cup chocolate candy melts
  • Holiday sprinkles

Directions

  •
    1
    Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  •
    2
Spray non-stick cooking spray along the bottom and sides of a 9”x13” baking dish.
  •
    3
Follow the package instructions to prepare the brownies.
  •
    4
When ready, remove from the oven and let cool for 1 hour.
  •
    5
Using a 3”x2” Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut out 8 Christmas tree shapes from the baked brownies. Place the cutout brownies on a large tray.
  •
    6
In two separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the chocolate melts and green candy melts in a microwave in 1-minute increments. Stir until smooth.
  •
    7
Spoon each melted candy in two separate plastic bags or pastry bags. Cut out a small hole at the tip of each bag, and squeeze to pipe holiday garlands on each brownie, alternating colors on each brownie.
  •
    8
Decorate each garland with holiday sprinkles. Let the candy melt set for 30 minutes until firm.
