Holidays like Halloween and Christmas are the best time to give and receive sweets. Supermarkets are filled with a great variety of candies and chocolates. However, those of you that prefer homemade candies might enjoy these Count Chocula™ Cookies made with a delicious cereal with marshmallow pieces.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups Count Chocula™ cereal
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 375°F.

    Whip the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add the egg and vanilla little by little. Add the flour, baking soda and milk. Incorporate the cereal slowly as well as the chocolate chips.

    Make balls with the dough and place them on a baking dish with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until they’ve lightly browned.

    Let cool for 3 minutes and then set on a rack.
