Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon slightly beaten large egg white
  • 2 cups pecan halves, unblanched whole almonds or walnut halves
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

    Heat oven to 300°F.

    In medium bowl, stir egg white and nuts until nuts are coated and sticky.

    In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients until well mixed; sprinkle over nuts. Stir until nuts are completely coated. In ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan, spread nuts in single layer.

    Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until toasted. Serve slightly warm or cool completely. Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 weeks.
