I remember when I first started cooking, I used to do it calm my cravings for dishes I tried at restaurants, but for some reason I could not obtain at that moment. Later, when I decided to study abroad, my budget as a student and limited time forced me to recreate the dishes I didn't have access too, and I learned how to prepare different recipes that saved me time and money. One of the recipes that I still prepare today because of its simplicity and economical value is chicken and vegetable kebabs. The best part is that the ingredients can vary depending on your cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts cut into cubes
  • Red and green peppers, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Soy sauce

Directions

  •
    1
Place the chicken in a deep container and salt/pepper to taste. Add a few drops of your favorite soy sauce.
  •
    2
Add a piece of chicken to the skewers, then one green pepper and one red pepper; repeat until the skewer is almost full.

Place the skewers to roast on your preheated grill. If you’re not using a grill, you can place them in a baking dish (previously greased) and bake them.

When the chicken and peppers begin to brown, remove them. Serve on a tray and sprinkle with more soy sauce.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
You can use whatever type of meat you prefer.
  • tip 2
I recommend letting the chicken soak up the seasoning for a few hours with chopped garlic and oil.
