Cheerios™ Bars with Peanut Butter, Honey and Coconut

These crunchy bars made with Cheerios™ are easy to prepare and they make for the perfect appetizer for both kids and adults. I love them because they are full of protein, naturally sweetened and they have yummy dried berries. The best part is they don’t require any baking so you don’t have to turn on the oven!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cheerios™ cereal
  • 1 cup dried berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Shredded coconut, for garnishing

Directions

    Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

    In a big bowl, combine cereal, berries and peanuts.

    In a pot, heat up the honey and peanut butter and stir continuously until they mix well. Remove from heat and let cool a little.

    Pour honey and peanut butter mixture over dry cereal. Mix until you have a uniform mixture. Sprinkle with shredded coconut.

    Add mixture to greased baking pan and press down firmly. Let cool completely before cutting out into little bars.

    Once cut, the bars can be stored to be enjoyed on their own or with yogurt.
