Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner, and kids all over the country will be busy making or drawing turkeys. These cereal turkeys are very easy to make and are so versatile that you can make endless combinations. This time, I decided to make them with my kids’ favorite cereals and popcorn. What’s you favorite combination?

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios™
  • 6 cups popcorn
  • 1 box (10.7 oz) Mini Trix™ cereal

Directions

  •
    1
Combine Honey Nut Cheerios™ and popcorn. Set aside.
  •
    2
Add approximately 1/2 cup Mini Trix™ cereal into a clear plastic glove, filling in the space of the fingers. Fill the rest of the glove, including the thumb with the Honey Nut Cheerios™ and popcorn combination.
  •
    3
Make a knot to seal the glove.
  •
    4
Cut pieces of different color papers (white, black and orange) to make the beak and eyes. Glue them to the glove on the thumb part to make the face.
  •
    5
Use colored pipe cleaners to make the feet, fold them and stick them into the knot part. Fold back any excess below the knot and hold it down with tape.
  •
    6
The turkey is now ready to be served.
