Brownie with Nature Valley™ Granola

During the summer we tend to do a lot more activities outdoors, whether it's a picnic or a concert, something sweet it always welcome. These brownies are my specialty and I always take them individually wrapped in parchment paper or all together to share and complete our picnic. It's and easy and delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 4 bars of Nature Valley™ Chewy Trail Mix Dark Chocolate Cherry

Directions

    Heat your oven to 350°F.

    Cover a 9x9” baking tray with aluminum foil.

    Remove the granola bars from their packaging and cut into small pieces.

    Melt the butter in a small bowl or small pot.
  •

    Add the cocoa powder and stir.
  •

    Add the sugar and stir well with a fork.
  •

    Add 1 egg, stir well and then add the other. Stir until well combined.

    Add the flour with the baking powder. Stir until well combined. You'll have a thick mixture.

    Add half of the chopped granola bars and stir.

    Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly. Add the rest of the granola to the surface.

    Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the middle.

    Let cool completely before removing from the mold and cut into 9 pieces.
